Korean War veterans are eligible to join the local and national KWVA if you served honorably in any of the Armed Forces

of the United States, said service being within or without Korea, but during the Korean war era (September 3, 1945

through January 31, 1955), or who, as a member of the Armed Forces of the United States as defined by U.S.C. Title 10,

served honorably in Korea from February 1, 1955 (to a date yet to be determined).

As part of your membership in the national Association, you will receive six issues of The Graybeards magazine.

It is published every month - the issues are January-February; March-April; May-June; July-August;

September-October; and November-December. The magazine is generally mailed around the first of the second

If your dues remain unpaid for the calendar year 2007, you will be removed

from the “Graybeards” mailing list at the end of April. We will mail a dues reminder

to you prior to removal, but we are hopeful that you will save us these printing and

mailing costs.

To determine when your dues are due, please look at the mailing label used to mail the

Graybeards magazine to you. Your dues date appears on the label on the right hand

side just above your last name. It’s important to remember that the mailing labels for

this magazine may have been printed as much as a month before the magazine is actually

received by you. So if you have sent in your dues within the last month, it will not be reflected

on your mailing label.

If you are a regular member (having served in Korea in the military or having served in the

military during the Korean War (not necessarily in Korea)), there is an “R” in the numbers just

above your first name and the following dues schedule applies to you:

“01/01/07” (translated this means January 1, 2007). This means your dues are due in the

amount of $25.00 for the calendar year 2007. (By the same token, some are paid a year or

two in advance. This is also reflected by this date and you will receive your yearly stickers

when that year rolls around.)

KWVA Dues Increases Effective January 1, 2007

Membership Dues will increase as approved by Board of Directors at their meeting on
October 10, 2006 and by the General Membership on October 11, 2006. Effective January 1, 2007,
Regular Annual Dues will be increased from $ 20.00 to $ 25.00.

A graduated scale of Life Membership
dues will also become effective on January 1, 2007. New Life Memberships may be paid in a lump sum
or in six (6) equal payments over a twelve (12) month period.

Ages up to and through 35 years of age:
Ages 36 through 50 years of age:
Ages 51 through 65 years of age:
Ages 66 years of age and older:
Current Life Members – no change will be made.

Action on Associate memberships is still under consideration.

Dues payments post-marked January 1, 2007 and later will be processed under the revised scale shown above.

It is hoped that everyone will confirm their dues to the calendar year as soon as possible.
